I think VOLTA should have been its own game, to be honest, and yes, it should have online play. I suspect this mode will be used to shoehorn in more microtransactions at some point. I think that is really what it is a vehicle for. I would play this more than I would with career and season mode to be honest, it looks good.

Kick-off
The basic couch co-op of FIFA 22, you can play with a friend in this mode by moving your controller icon to whatever side you’d like. If you want to play on your friend’s team, move the controller to their side.

How to Play Co-op Seasons in FIFA 22
It gets even better as you can play with a friend in Seasons mode now too. With a friend, you can choose to select a team together and try to reach Division 1.
How to Play Pro Clubs With Friends
In Pro Clubs, playing with friends is very easy and you simply create a player and then create a team of your own or join your friend’s team. You can invite multiple people as well and once you have the amount you want, hit Play Match and choose your position and you’re off and running.
How to Play Volta With Friends
All modes in Volta are available as well and that includes Single Match, Squads, and Story mode as well. In order to play with friends in squad mode, select Squad Up, and then once in the lobby, choose Invite Friend and there you can invite whoever you want.
