So the issue I ran into is similar (and might be what you're running into). ANY contract I agree to with a Career Mode player ends up actually showing up as one year LESS than what we agree to.

It seems to be the same problem. I have played with Viking FK, Real Madrid and Man Utd. It works just fine with Real Madirid and Man Utd but not in Viking FK. Maybe there is a problem in the Norwegian league?

what I did (not really a fix) is just let them leave then sign them as a free agent instantly at the very beginning of the next season if there’s no pre contract.. I wish it would get fixed though

Problem still persist and makes any Career Mode with Norwegian or Swedish teams actually unplayable

What I experience is that the players do not want an extension, but then I manage to agree with the player on a contract of 1 year extension. This will then be 0 years. I have not made these players accept a two-year contract.
