This solution can't be used for Euro cup for example, as matches are planned before the end of the season, my name is clearly on the announced team, but no email from national team. I played many seasons, I'm clearly the best player of my country, still not able to play any international tournament except for qualifications. This is SO frustrating.

This seemed to start after the last game update. I am using Xbox 1, played 4 seasons in career mode as a player. I played in South American cup before, but when the world cup started it called me up, but I never got to play. So weak FIFA, you guys had how long to set up the game for the next gen systems, and feel flat and did it HARD.
