I have the same problem, I can't play against one of my friends but I can play coop with him. Its really frustrating we also had the same problem in FIFA 21. Somehow I can play against others but not with him.

Same problem with me too unable to play with my friends. the worst part is I gifted 2 of my friends a copy of FIFA and bought one for myself to play with both of them online and we are not able to connect to each other.

Its possibly an internet connection problem. I have the same problem, when I try to play by using my mobile internet (the wifi in the house is a piece of *, its nothing for 5 people, so its unable to play any multiplayer games with it).

Ammelimme on PS5, been trying to play against my friend. Both of us are playing on PS5 with the right version. And it doesn’t work. Paid too much money for this to not work .
