How do you get FUT Champions in FIFA 22?
FUT Champions is the best way to earn FIFA 22’s best players. To qualify for FUT Champs, you’ll need to earn Champions Qualification Points in Division Rivals. And once you’ve earned enough, you’ll automatically qualify for the Play-Offs, and your Champions run will begin whenever you are ready to play.

FUT Champions has traditionally been the pinnacle of competitive play, but in FIFA 22 that’s no longer the case. That mantle falls to the new Elite Division of Rivals, around which EA now expects the very best to coalesce. But FUT Champions is still here, and this year it has had a makeover, with mixed results.
How does FUT Champions work in FIFA 22?
FIFA 22 gives FUT Champions a structural overhaul. You still earn qualification through Rivals, but this only gets you to the front door. You then need to win five out of nine matches in the new FUT Champions Playoffs. These matches can be played at any time of the week.

If a FIFA-loving friend arrived back from the moon and asked us about new FUT Champs, we’d tell them it’s a good news/bad news situation. The good news is that FUT Champs Finals are a gilded city of treasures, where the rewards for participation alone are greater than most players earned in previous years.

If you’ve made it through to Finals, congratulations! You’ve already won! The new reward tiers for FIFA 22 mean that you are guaranteed to get two red FUT Champions players based on the current Team of the Week even if you lose all 20.

Past years have seen a few tweaks to the FUT Champions formula, but FIFA 22 rips up the rulebook entirely. You still need to earn Qualification Points from Division Rivals to get involved, but that's where the similarities end.
Is Champions Finals the new Weekend League?
Champions Finals won't be a 30-game grind -- you only need to complete a smaller number of games during the weekend timeframe, and the rewards you can claim at the end will be based on the amount of points you earn. In a welcome change for FIFA 22, you now earn points for losing as well as winning, so every match is worth completing.

The format may have changed, but FUT Champions is still the pinnacle of competitive play for most players in FIFA 22, offering up the best rewards for participation and success, and that means greater pressure. In terms of tactics, a lot of players approach FUT Champions like a caricature of a sheepskin coat-wearing football manager, yelling at their players to run around a bit and hoping that a bit of pass-and-move will yield good results.

FUT Champions is also a game of fine margins. Sometimes you lose on penalties. Sometimes it's a dodgy refereeing decision. You can't legislate for bad luck, but you can always find ways to control surrounding variables.
Qualification
As mentioned above, you will need 1,250 qualifications points (some are getting 1,200 on their interface) in order to qualify for FUT Champions. If you have not amassed those points yet, keep grinding away in Division Rivals and get those victories to accumulate points faster.
Champion Play-Offs
To get to this stage, you will have 1,500 qualification points to your name. So one box ticked off. Then, you essentially have nine matches to progress to the next rank. A victory gives you four points and a loss rewards you with one point.

Congratulations if you make it to the FUT Champions Finals! Here are the rewards for what you get for competing in the finals:
FUT Champions Entries
You only have a limited amount of entries for FUT Champions which is eight during each Season, which is approximately six weeks long. When the season moves on, your entries will be reset and you will have eight attempts once more to qualify for FUT Champions.
When can I collect my rewards?
EA have confirmed that your rewards can be collected as soon as you have played all of your games – so there is no hanging around!
How does FUT Champions work in FIFA 22?
Players will need to start off in Division 10 in Rivals and will have to make their way through the ladder until they are able to enter the FUT Champions Finals.

Once you have accumulated enough points during the season, you’ll be able to enter the FUT Champions Play-Offs, which is also a points-based system.

Champions Finals
- FUT Champions Finals take place on weekends, similar to how the Weekend League worked in FIFA 21. The Finals Qualification Token also means you can enter the competition on a weekend that suits you rather than a specific one.

- In the past, players used to need a certain number of points to be eligible for re-qualification. But that’s changed in FIFA 22. Now, you can attempt FUT Champs multiple timesthroughout the season, and your best effort will count.
