Qualification
As mentioned above, you will need 1,250 qualifications points (some are getting 1,200 on their interface) in order to qualify for FUT Champions. If you have not amassed those points yet, keep grinding away in Division Rivals and get those victories to accumulate points faster.

To get to this stage, you will have 1,500 qualification points to your name. So one box ticked off. Then, you essentially have nine matches to progress to the next rank. A victory gives you four points and a loss rewards you with one point.

FUT Champions Entries
You only have a limited amount of entries for FUT Champions which is eight during each Season, which is approximately six weeks long. When the season moves on, your entries will be reset and you will have eight attempts once more to qualify for FUT Champions.

FIFA 22: All FUT Champions Rewards
FUT Champions, also sometimes known as Weekend League, has been altered in FIFA 22. There are two phases to the FUT Champions competition: the Play Offs and the Finals. In order to participate in the FUT Champions Play Offs, you'll need to amass 1,500 FUT Champions Qualifications Points in Division Rivals.
FIFA 22: All FUT Champions Rewards Release Dates and Times
All FUT Champions rewards will be delivered once you've completed all of your matches. In regards to FUT Champions Play Offs, this means you'll get your FUT Champions rewards upon finishing all nine matches. The same is true of the FUT Champions Finals upon finishing all 20 matches.

Can you matchmake with a player on the same console?
You can only matchmake with players who are playing the same version of FIFA 21 as you, on the same console family. For example, if you are playing the PlayStation 4 version of FIFA 21, you could matchmake with someone playing the PlayStation 4 version of FIFA 21 on PlayStation 5.
