Even when you launch through Steam it signs into your Origin to actually play the game. There is no 'Steam/Orgin only' players, it all goes through Origin.

I have gotten in touch with EA Help and they too do not have a proper solution as of yet. I don't mind not having access to Origin. That is not the main problem that drove me to insanity. My problem was that one of the Mass Effect 2 files did not function as intended. The file is "awc.dll" that fails to load when I launch from EA Desktop.

Hey @256VIPER1024 it you have EA Play through Xbox Game Pass then you will only be able to access it on EA Desktop.

this is incorrect. ive got play with my U.P.. it will allow me to down 21, to the EA desktop, but the game has never booted.
