All the much-touted and heavily advertised new features (including "The Journey") of FIFA 17 are nowhere to be found on the PS3 version. Without these features included, there's absolutely no reason to pay for an "upgrade" from FIFA 16. Save your money. My intro to gaming soccer was via Konami's PES winning 11 back in the day.
