Its working again now mysteriously. It had an error message saying something along the lines of 'there was an error connecting to the ea servers. please try again'. Following this it would boot me off ultimate team but I could go straight back in and continue doing every other action in the game besides submitting a completed SBC.

This sbc glitch is frustrating as we are missing the opportunity to get certain players during the promo and it promotes unfair advantage on other players in the game. Is EA mean't to be agile - can you please respond to these needs as it is clear there is a theme as this is a widely addressed issue going back to September last year.
