Signing a player outside of a transfer window does NOT result in that player joining your club when the following window opens, as should happen. Instead, the player joins TWO transfer windows later.

Don't think you can, it may be possible if you could "lose" a registered player, but the only way I can see of doing this outside a transfer window would be to Free Transfer someone registered... and then use their registration spot More sharing options... Have a look where you view your squad, underneath that tab are 6 options (players / backroom advice / training / squad numbers / squad registration / team meeting).

Strange, when I signed a free transfer outside the window I went to that tab and it allowed me to register him :confused:

I've definitely done it with free transfers - not sure you can if it is a transfer from another club

Is it a player that was already at your club and you just didn't register him? If it is then there is no way to register him until the next window.
