Signing a player outside of a transfer window does NOT result in that player joining your club when the following window opens, as should happen. Instead, the player joins TWO transfer windows later.

Players under contract cannot be actually signed until the window opens - so Oscar's official paperwork and registration may well be done the moment it opens in the UK on 1 January.
