Now that FIFA 22 is available on PS Plus – for both PS4 and PS5 – throughout May 2022, it’s a fair question to ask, particularly if you’ve got mates you want to play FIFA 22 against on the pitch using different PlayStation consoles.
Can you play with friends on PS5 without a PS4?
Had to buy the PS4/PS5 version to play with friends who still have the PS4. PS5 is not backwards compatible. You can switch back to the PS5 version when playing online without friends. You can download on the PS store or just buy the disc.

Yes, FIFA 22 does have cross play. After there was no possibility to play between consoles at release, this is now possible. When Is Cross Play Coming To FIFA? Cross play has been available in FIFA 22 since May 4th.

Would it be simple to access ultimate team between the PS4 and 5 version? Like is it a seemless switch on UT? Thanks this may effect my purchase as play with my mates who only have PS4

Yes with the ultimate edition you get PS4 and PS5 version, it's seamless to switch and you can play with all your PS5 UT on PS4.

Ultimate edition can seamlessly switch. But you need to install both versions. Coop similar to last year

finally I found someone with a similar question, thank you. So, just to make sure: my friend (ps4) and I (ps5) can use the same FUT 22 account after downloading the Ultimate Edition, only he’ll play fifa22 on ps4 online against ps4 players and I (after he finished playing and logged out) will play fifa22 on ps5 against ps5 players.

Of course, FIFA 22 will be on PlayStation 5. Even if the console is so fiendishly hard to get hold of, the lucky ones of you who got it will get to enjoy FIFA 22 on the PS5.

Probably one of the biggest questions we've been asked recently. But I can give the all-clear. Your PS4 is still good enough to enjoy FIFA 22 to the fullest.

On the "old" Xbox, you have the same problem as on PS4. Of course, there is FIFA 22 for your console, but without Hypermotion.
PC & Mac
Yes to both! And you can find the system requirements for your PC here. It doesn't require an especially good machine, but you'll need a little something-something.
Switch
The game costs only $39.99 for the Switch. For obvious reasons. For the third time, FIFA is now available for the Switch. But be careful: The Switch does not receive any new gameplay features. Of course, there are the new stadiums, jerseys, and ratings, but the gameplay won't change that much.
Unfortunately, this good gameplay won't likely last for long
I was just watching Boras' stream from yesterday and am very surprised with who used to be the only popular FIFA streamer I could tolerate.
Streamers are bad for this game
Now I used to enjoy FIFA streamers however each year they have increasingly gone over the top with pack openings, I used to enjoy watching them play games, the weekend league and so on but I just so happened to click on AA9Skills yesterday and of course, its a road to ronaldo and he had just packed Salah.
